For a 3 week program, how many hours in total roughly are used to learn Spanish ?

Hi! Great question!! Throughout the three week trip you do activities every day to practice the language. The Global Works group leaders ensure that you set a goal in the beginning of the trip for how you want to improve your Spanish and then help you to achieve that goal by the end. One thing I highly recommend is to review your Spanish prior to going on the trip. I had taken Spanish 1 and 2 in freshman year of high school then went on this trip going into senior year so I had some trouble speaking.
