Is speaking Spanish for medical volunteering a necessity?

I hardly know Spanish and I got along just fine! Their staff know English and Spanish so they are really helpful in translating. However, when I wanted to venture on my own after clinic, it was difficult because most people I encountered did not speak Spanish. But any site seeing tours I scheduled spoke both English and Spanish for the entire tour.

It is not necessary to speak Spanish to volunteer with us. People will all levels of Spanish are welcome, and we provide translation for all of our volunteers while they are working with us.

Volunteering for this medical trip I knew little Spanish. You do not have to know how to speak Spanish to volunteer with FIMRC. They really express that all people will all levels of Spanish are welcome. Translators were provided for all of the volunteers.
