The ACU campus in Melbourne does not offer any dorm style living so you do have to find housing on your own. I would recommend staying in a hostel for about two weeks when you first get there and looking for housing in person to ensure you don't get ripped off. There are many ways to find housing. I personally used flatmates.com.au which allowed me to find houses online and go visit them in person until I found a flat that I liked. I was also lucky that I was looking for housing with a friend.
