Georgiana is an excellent teacher who tailors her lessons to the language study needs of her students. She is professional and very patient. I spent an enjoyable and productive week with her in her lovely home. My focus was on verb tenses, and we worked on those while placing them in the context of subjects I am interested in such as art and film.

The accommodations are very comfortable, quiet, and private, with a separate entrance. I had lunch and dinner with Georgiana each day, joined from time to time by her charming husband and delightful twins. The meals were delicious, and I appreciated the focus on fresh, local, and organic (bio) ingredients. Our excursions to châteaux and museums in the beautiful Chevreuse Valley région were interesting and fun, and our continuing conversations helped me feel more and more confident in my ability to speak French.

The teaching was really excellent not only as far as the language is concerned but also culturally. The apartment in my teacher’s house was very comfortable, calm, cozy, and surrounded by beautiful nature. The access to Paris is easy and I enjoyed walking in the closest town and the beautiful parks around. My experience was humanly and socially very pleasant; Sharing activities and meals with my teacher’s family was joyful and fun.

I have been very satisfied with my linguistic week. The teaching was very interesting and in a very pleasant ambiance. I really enjoyed walking in the town with my teacher while talking and visiting new places.

The apartment in which I stayed was also very nice, calm, and comfortable. I hadn’t visited this area of France yet. Nature is all around and it was so easy to get to Paris from the apartment! I really recommend this course because it is very complete ( culturally, socially, and linguistically.

I had the richest experience at Georgiana's for my French Immersion.
Georgiana is a very experienced and patient teacher and she planned the lessons according to my abilities and my goal to improve my speaking skills. Her methods are rigorous and creative, which makes the courses interesting and dynamic.The whole family was really interested in helping me and we had great conversations during the meals and activities we had together. The food and accommodations are excellent. I returned home inspired to continue improving my French and do another immersion with Georgiana and her beautiful family in the near future.

You have a set of skills and knowledge that you use to carry out your professional missions: a sense of organization, creativity, a sense of listening, a dose of curiosity, good general knowledge, passion, and an ability to adapt.

Someone who has the art of teaching, and educating; someone who knows how to explain and she has reflexive pedagogy which is the best way for students to learn by themselves. In addition, it can develop the analytical skills of students. So, don’t be afraid to ask questions or participate in discussions. This helps you better understand and remember the information.

I spent two weeks doing immersion at Georgiana’s home in April 2024, a week after I retired to France. I selected Georgiana because I expected she would be active and enjoy healthy cooking, and I liked the idea of being with a family, and my high expectations were exceeded. The living quarters were wonderful with a private, well equipped kitchen, bath, place to study, bedroom and a private entrance. I did the full board program, fixing my own breakfast with provided foods, and have lunch and dinner with Georgiana. I did not bring a car, but it was easy to walk to the town. I did bring a bike, which was great getting to ride in the nearby countryside and speak French with Georgiana. I got along really well with Georgiana’s husband and her children, who I had dinner with each evening - more opportunities to listen to and speak French. With all this perfection, the definite highlight were the hours of speaking French and french instruction each day with Georgiana. She is motivational, a really outstanding professor, and the nicest person you’d ever want to meet. The two weeks did exactly what I had hoped for: the two weeks ‘jump started’ my French. I strongly recommend Georgiana’s immersion program.
