I did a 12 week construction program in Sarangkot, Nepal. The day would start by looking at the snowcapped Annapurna range followed by an energizing daal Bhat meal. The Nepali family I stayed with are the nicest people I've met and by the time I left, it had become like a second home to me. Then came the work time. It was tough & laborious, which is exactly what I wanted :). We did digging, shovelling, cutting rebars, bending rebars, picking bricks, mixing and pouring concrete...in short hardcore construction. We were building an orphanage which would serve as an in transit centre for children who don't have proper homes and families. The work we did on the site was very satisfying. A big thanks to IVHQ for creating such a meaningful project and help us contribute to a great cause. After work, there was loads to time to interact and make friends with other volunteers who came from across the globe. This has left me with memories which I'll cherish forever. In the end, I would say that this has been the most exciting and satisfying 3 months of my life. From a comfortable stay to a meaningful project, team IVHQ has delivered on all fronts. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to really make a difference.

Would you recommend this program?
