A Truly Amazing Experience!

I would highly recommend Destiny Orphanage School to everyone who plans to come and volunteer in Tanzania. Before I departed the management were always there for me, just an email or whatsapp message away to answer any questions with the view to an positive authentic experience of both living and volunteering in the country. They assisted me in getting a visa, provided me with good accommodation nearby to the school, making sure that I felt safe and comfortable at all times without over-fussing thus allowing myself to fully immerse myself into the local culture.

I was personally met by the owner at the airport, found all the staff very supportive and helpful, and it didn't take long for me at all to feel quite at home. The people here are so kind and helpful, and every friend that I have made is a friend for life. The school provided language lessons to enhance my ability to integrate and engage with the local people, and the children I worked with during my placement will stay in my heart forever.

After finishing my time with the orphanage school I teamed-up with several other volunteers I met to go on a truly fantastic safari trip to see all the wonderful animals in their natural habitat. The whole volunteering experience in Tanzania was filled with so many unforgettable moments that I will cherish for the rest of my life, and I would recommend this program to anyone who wishes to gain new perspectives about the world we live in whilst enabling others to gain a better life – indeed I’m already planning another trip back!
