Forget all you know about Hong Kong: you don't know anything until you go there!

I love reading all kinds of texts: books, newspapers, etc. So before going to HK, I read a lot about it. But while interning there, I realized that you can read a hundred books about something or somewhere, still you cannot understand everything before you actually experience it. I was surprised by little things every day that were normal in Hong Kong but weird in my country. For example, Hong Kongers are wearing white masks all the time! One more thing that surprised me was when my co-workers complimented me on my white skin. They were always trying to avoid the Sun's UV because they don't like having tanned skin. Seeing a lot of people walking outside with umbrellas during a sunny day was really weird!!
Living abroad was a very good experience for me and interning in a foreign company was even more beneficial!
