Attending this program as a high school

Attending this program as a high school student was honestly the highlight of my year. The Chinese classes were fun and interactive — nothing like sitting in a boring classroom. We did calligraphy, martial arts, tea ceremonies, and even stayed with local families who made us feel so welcome. I picked up way more Chinese than I expected and actually used it while exploring cities and markets with my new friends. It was exciting, safe, and full of learning. If you’re a teen thinking about doing something different and meaningful, this is it.
