Impact You Can Actually See Of course!

I’ve joined programs before that love to talk about impact — but this one truly shows it in the most moving, unforgettable ways. From the very first hesitant cuts of fabric to seeing these incredible women proudly wear clothes they made themselves, the transformation was powerful. Even more inspiring was watching them map out new business plans with so much hope for their families.

Beyond the work, the community here is wonderfully welcoming, always eager to share stories, smiles, and local culture. There are countless beautiful places to explore after work — vibrant markets, peaceful lake views, and warm evening gatherings that make every day feel special.

I was also lucky to go on a Safari to the Maasai Mara, organized by the team, and was absolutely thrilled to see the Big Five animals up close. It was a dream come true, layered on top of an experience that was already life-changing.

It’s grassroots empowerment at its very best, surrounded by genuine community, natural wonders, and moments that will stay etched in my heart forever.
