I had always felt called to live in Italy, and CIS Abroad offered an affordable and easy way to make that dream come true. Moving to a foreign country was very nerve-wracking, but CIS made the transition seamless. We had really cool events with the people in our program, and I met some of my best friends. We took a program trip to Orvieto and stayed at a vineyard in the countryside, visited Ostia, and more. We all grew so close with our program coordinator and really felt like we built our own Roman empire.
