A Time in Peru

A year ago today, I went to Peru for the Nutrition and Natural Medicine program, my experience with Linguistic Horizon has been very supportive. The program director is very supportive and made the process very enjoyable. The program itself was very helpful- I wish I had been able to stay longer to integrate the vast information on plants and medicine longer and put what I had learned into practice. Linguistic Horizons offers a variety of internship opportunities for various niches. The one I was a part of was Global Health, Medicine, and Healthcare. I was able to work with a local Andean plant-based medicine practitioner. I had an amazing time learning various healing modalities, practices, and provided hands on healthcare experience. Learning Quechua was a blast, but it was a new experience. The locals are very supportive when trust is established. You are only there for a short amount of time, and making the most of the experience is the best advice I can give; however, that looks and feels for you. A lot of healing modalities are very present in Urubamba, and it's worth asking for guidance about them. Have fun =D
