Specifically speaking from a point of view of an Architectural Intern, I enjoyed a lot working on the projects and gaining hands-on experience with Gina and her family. I learned so much by being fully immersed in the culture and by spending time with the people in the community. I am also grateful for the encouragement, guidance, and support that the mentors, volunteers, and other interns gave me while working on the projects.

This experience allowed me to better understand how architecture can create a meaningful impact when it is developed together with the community. Being involved in every stage of the process, from design ideas to on-site work, was incredibly rewarding. I leave Ecuador with new skills, unforgettable memories, and friendships that I will always cherish.
