IAU - Aix-en-Provence, France

This is an amazingly well organized program with fantastic staff and faculty. My family has been attending IAU for three generations!

Yamina is amazing and she is always available to talk to, ask questions, handle any issues that come up, etc. The university is super quaint, and upon my visit last year they have added an entire new building! The faculty are all amazing and really focus on integrating the local culture into the classroom by taking visits to the local market, visiting local candy shops, etc. In one of my classes we went to Chateau D'If in Marseille!

This program also offers really great excursions. After the second week in the program you take an overnight trip to Nice and along the Cote d'azur visiting Cannes, Monte Carlo, Fragonard (perfumerie), and the beautiful beaches. The program also offered weekend activities and excursions to Le Beaux, Arles, and other Provencal towns.

This is a great place to study abroad if you really want to practice the language and immerse yourself in the culture. Aix is a very walkable city so it's very easy to get around. I also really enjoyed my host family experience and recommend this to anyone studying abroad anywhere!
