About Program

Complete a practicum in music therapy while also enjoying the culture and history of China! On this two-week summer program, students will join Augsburg University faculty leader Annie Heiderscheit, Ph.D., MT-BC, LFMT, on a program in Chongqing China. Participants will volunteer at a burn camp for children with limited access to healthcare, interact with Chinese music and physical therapists, and enjoy additional excursions to places such as the Great Wall and a boat cruise on the Yangtze River.

This program blends together the unique and rich history of music in China with the modern-day practice of music therapy in a Chinese context. Earn credits in undergraduate or graduate level coursework; all coursework will be in English.

It looks like this program may not be available right now, but don’t worry, Augsburg University's Center for Global Education and Experience has plenty of other amazing programs to check out!
