About Program
Ecology and Conservation in Kenya
Broaden your knowledge of historical and current threats to tropical wetlands, forest and African savannah ecosystems in Kenya. Athena's program is split evenly between Brackenhurst, an eco-campus in Limuru, Kenya, and the Mara Naboisho Conservancy in the infamous Masai Mara ecosystem. This program is a great fit for anyone who wants to understand the basics of submontane forest regeneration in Kenya and explore human-wildlife relationships in East Africa.
Kenya encompasses savannah, lake lands, the dramatic Great Rift Valley and mountain highlands. It's also home to amazing indigenous flora and fauna!
