About Program

Tanzania has quite a lot of uneducated people who didn’t go to school during their childhood which lead to the country having less man power. With this project to teach children from poor families, we will help you also improve your career.

Children in Tanzania love going to school and highly value the education they receive. However, once they become teenagers, many students leave school to support their families. Volunteers bring a unique variety and perspective to the education children receive while they’re at school, fostering their love for learning, broadening their minds, encouraging them to further their education and build better futures.

Teaching volunteer with Travel for charity Tanzania you will be based in on teaching children how to count, how write, how to draw, how to sing and how to paint. The classrooms have between 30 and 50 students, where volunteers make a real impact by enabling more focused teaching. You’ll assist local teachers in a range of subjects.

Amazing experience

It was amazing to be a part of that program and to be able to get to know a little bit of the life in Tanzania. Everyone was really nice and always openminded to answer any question that I had. Raphael was really friendly and he helped with any problem that came up. I had fun teaching the kids, singing and playing with them. The opportunity to do safari and other activities around Arusha is awesome. So in my opinion if you think about going and teaching at the school with travel for charity, do it :))

Balancing Impact with Remote Work

I spent a week volunteering at a local school in Arusha and managed to juggle it with my remote work too. The experience was definitely a positive one! The host was really accommodating to my busy schedule, which was a huge plus. It's true that you might not see the impact of your work right away, but I'm a firm believer that these efforts pay off over time. This gig is a great mix of personal growth and community service. I'd recommend it to anyone who's up for putting in the time and energy to really make a difference.

Trustful host

I realise that Local hosts are the best one when planning to volunteer abroad. Travel for charity Tanzania is the Trustful host for the charitable program. I was happy with children, team members and Raphael the founder. Raphael was a nice person and read to help at all the time. The place i stayed was a homestay and the mama who was cooking ( mama alli) the food was so charming i will always remember her. I was doing a children school program to help local teachers at school in Arusha Tanzania.
