Volunteer to Renovate A Community Centre in Belize!

For over 10 years SOS has worked with local organizations in Central and South America to facilitate partnerships with communities in need of educational infrastructure and young North American students. The value of the construction project is huge, but even larger is the value of the impact on community members and volunteers as they collaborate together.

This August, SOS volunteers will travel to Calla Creek together and work in conjunction with 4 The World, a local NGO, to improve the community centre. Volunteers will live together approximately 5 minutes from the work site and spend 6 to 8 hours a day working hard. Tasks they assist with include concrete mixing, mortar placing, trench digging, rebar construction, and more. When not working volunteers will get to know their fellow volunteers and community members through immersing themselves in the culture of the Cayo district in Belize.
