About Program
Join CHI's World Explorers program and live with a German host family for 1-3 months. In exchange for a private room and 3-meals per day, volunteers just need to help their hosts practice conversational English for 15 hours per week.
This is an ideal program for those that are learning German and looking to get immersed in the language and culture. Volunteers have a lot of free time to explore on the weekends. See Germany from a local perspective.
CHI works with an agency based in Heilbronn, and recent placements have been in Hamburg, Munich, Frankfurt and Cologne. Flexibility is appreciated as CHI aims to find the best host family match based on your interests and needs.
