Summer Program! Boy Scout Patrol Leader for Underprivileged Children
About Program
Volunteer this Summer as a Boy/Girl Scout Patrol Leader at a school´s Summer Program for children from low income families from 3 to 12 years old. You will be sharing basic scouting knowledge with each group, taking into consideration they have never experienced scouting before. Teach scouting skills and activities such as basic knots, simple first aid and scout games (team, wide, street, observation and sense-training games).
Mexico City is an excellent place to volunteer because you can appreciate the Mexican culture and tradition through its archeological sites, pre-hispanic remains, colonial buildings, museums, festivities and typical Mexican dishes, at the same time that you live in a cosmopolitan city that offers a wide array of cultural, tourist, outdoor and entertainment activities.
Accommodation: Private, double or triple rooms at a guest house or apartment near the school.
Meals: Breakfast and lunch will be provided at the school from Monday to Friday. Dinners and weekend meals are not included; the guest house or apartment where you will be staying has a kitchen where you can cook dinner and weekend meals in case you do not wish to eat out.
Working Schedule: Monday to Friday from 8:30 to 14:00 hrs.
