About Program
Volunteering on YWAM MSA’s Medical Ship is an adventure filled opportunity where you can make a real difference and experience the beautiful Papua New Guinean culture. We partner with local health care providers to offer quality training and medical care to some of the world’s most remote areas. We have volunteering positions for medical and marine professionals, media personnel, cooks, housekeepers, and general volunteers. Our volunteers are all ages – we even have families! The Medical Ship is made up of all generations and multiple nationalities – that’s what makes it so special!
Placements are made on the basis of best fit and skill-mix for forming field teams, rather than on a first-in-first-serve basis. We plan your itinerary and take care of all of the details, including food, accommodation, cultural orientation, and program facilitation.
