About Program
The Psychology Abroad Program is for current and alumni psychology students who want to live in a different social and cultural context in the heart of local communities in South Africa. This program is designed to give essential practical work experience to apply to degree related travel and career progression, while giving back to communities affected by HIV/AIDS.
We have two Psychology Programs: Operation Bobbi Bear in Durban, and Nkosi’s Haven in Johannesburg. They both offer something different and we work exclusively with both organizations. Please be aware, that places are limited, and in the summer months, fill up fast as this is a very popular volunteer program.
