About Program
Join us as we try to save the last hippos living on Lake Sibaya, South Africa's biggest fresh water lake and part of the Isimangaliso Wetlands Park, an UNESCO World Heritage site for biodiversity. Our project is located in a remote wilderness area in the heart of Zululand and on the Elephant Coast of South Africa.
From our base in Sodwana Bay we take part in various conservation projects that include wildlife monitoring, research and habitat rehabilitation. We also offer study support and internship opportunities for individuals /groups with certification.
Our comfortable research camp is located in a Big 5 Safari area and walking distance from one of South Africa's most idyllic tropical beaches . When not doing field work, you will find us on safari or lazing on the beach
Join us as we help save the hippos while learning and having a great time in the wilderness!
