Belek region in Antalya, Turkey is one of the two largest known sea turtle nesting area in the Mediterranean, and this project is focused on the nesting populations of 2 different sea turtle species in the region: Caretta caretta and Chelonia mydas.

Our studies include monitoring the sea turtle populations, tagging, mapping, determining and minimizing the negative impacts on nests and hatchlings, creating public awareness about the conservation of sea turtles, and encouraging participation in conservation studies.
