About Program
Boost your resume, put your theory into practice and gain further experience in mental health as a volunteer at our Assisted Living Facility for 16 adults with mental illness, homelessness and substance abuse issues.
Applicants must be 18 or older and willing to embrace the belief in recovery and person-centered planning, tailoring services to the resident.
Volunteers supervise and assist our residents in daily activities such as transportation to appointments, supported employment, learning life skills, assistance with medication, cooking, cleaning bedrooms, laundering clothes, personal hygiene skills and recreational activities. There is room for volunteers to utilize their own skills; arts, crafts, gardening and music are always popular.
In exchange for volunteering 40 hours a week we provide housing, financial assistance with travel expenses and a weekly food allowance.
