What you haven't heard about Gap Medics

Yes they have a stylish website, yes they look efficient, caring and that your going to have a once in a life time experience well here is the truth that did not happen. What they seem to cover up on there profit making company if that while I was there last summer my room within the supposed secure compound had an armed attack with two armed men in the middle of the of the night. Thankful no one was physically hurt however mentally is a different story as I have seen received large amounts of thepary to try feel normal again and have been diagnosed with post traumatic stress. None of us could stay on as we felt so scared, alone and not safe however the company did not refund the week we were not there, they have shown no compassion or care or anything.i feel this trip is over priced and dangerous. I would hate to see any other enthusiastic young medical student go through what I have gone through and that is speaking from my heart. Please think before ever making the risk to go with the Gap Medic company as you don't need this to get into med school there are plenty other more exciting safer and cheaper options, I would hate for anyone's savings like mine to be wasted on a trip and company like this!
