A rewarding four weeks!

From the first time I emailed TEFLPlus, I was impressed. My soon to be instructor, Li Sasaki, promptly replied and was helpful in answering all of my questions. The first day of class I had no idea what to expect. It had been over 12 years since I had been inside a classroom. I was pleased to learn that this class felt more like a family to me than a group of strangers. Li has a way of making everybody feel comfortable and the way our class interacted with each other was a reflection of Li's personality

Grammar was never my strong suit and I was worried about being able to understand everything. Li presents the material in a way that makes it easy to understand and is always available to make sure that you have all the help you need.

I remember thinking on the second day that it would not be possible in just four weeks for me to have the skills to get up in front of a classroom and teach a 50 minute lesson. By the second week I was ready to get in front of the class and start teaching! Over the final two weeks of the class I worked on polishing the rest of my lessons and I have never felt more confident about teaching.

In summary, I would highly recommend this class to anyone considering teaching English. I found all of the course content to be extremely helpful and had ample practice teaching time to feel prepared for the real world.

Li is truly a special teacher, I never expected this class to be fun, but I honestly looked forward to each day. He has a way of staying on task without the class feeling boring and rigid. I also want to say that I have been done with the class for 5 days now and Li has been giving me daily feedback on all of my questions regarding job placement and CV questions.
