A Worthwhile Experience

Working at Best Learning - Shenyang has changed my life for the better. It is never easy moving to a foreign country, but the support Foreign Teachers receive from the school and their support staff is great. The salary is very reasonable; Shenyang is a large city but very affordable - I have been able to save and send money home each month while still living comfortably and getting to travel! If you are interested in this program - I strongly recommend researching and preparing as many questions on issues you might be concerned about or wonder about. It helped me feel more prepared and lessen the culture shock after moving to China.
I've worked with kids for a majority of my career, but had never taught before BLS. You get hands on training before you start in your classroom that helped me feel more comfortable getting started. I've discovered through this program that I am in love with teaching and plan on continuing to teach when I move back to the USA.
In addition to the ADORABLE and sweet kids I get to work with, the other teachers in the program have become some great friends. Living and working in a foreign country (especially away from your family and friends) can be extremely trying at times - but it's such a comfort knowing you are not alone... Plus getting hugs from sweet babies helps!
