Shamiri strives to make the volunteer programme as sustainable as possible. Not only the people sent should benefit from their stay in Mwanza, but also the local people. The aim is to create work at eye level that enables an exchange between the different countries. The programme builds on social work foundations and always keeps in mind that volunteers do not come to change the world, but to broaden their own horizons and get a new perspective on life in general.
