What it’s like interning in Vietnam

Working abroad is one of those things that you have to do at least once in your life. I’m so glad I did it, and I learned more about myself, my country, and how other cultures operate than I ever thought possible. As an intern living in Vietnam for a summer, I had many opportunities to learn about different aspects of Vietnam culture, including some things that often go overlooked by short-term visitors.

First and foremost, I worked on my project. hanging out with friends and networking with various professionals to make business connections. Vietnam is one of those countries where it’s easy to get lost in your work, so I made sure that each day there was a little something fun scheduled as well as some time allotted for relaxation.
