I picked here for 2 weeks because it was not crowded like other schools and I could talk with my teacher without being distracted by nearby groups. I’ve been to several schools in Latin America and the instruction here was comprehensive yet tailored to my needs as an intermediate student.

A bonus is that this school and organization focuses on preserving Maya culture. The director is very passionate about this cause. Thus, the activities were focused on learning in detail about the Maya history, philosophy, culture, and spirituality that you might see around Xela but be unaware of.

The revenues from the school supports social work for the Maya community, as a bonus.
