An Unforgettable Experience

I participated on a solar project trip with GRID Alternatives International in 2019 to Nicaragua. I was safe from the moment they picked me up at the airport to the moment they dropped me off to fly back home. The trip was very well guided, continuously fun and a full immersion into the Nicaraguan culture. Aside from the three days of doing the solar installation (no experience required) in the remote community, the rest of the days, we traveled to tourist attractions. Nicaragua was beautiful and the people very welcoming. The group of travelers were very friendly and genuinely caring and with one mission to travel with purpose and bring clean energy to a remote community in Nicaragua.
