Wildlife filmmaking, September 2024

September 2024 I had the pleasure to join Africa Media for the Wildlife Filmmaking program, it was truly an unforgettable experience. The program offered a great approach to wildlife filmmaking that was both challenging and rewarding. The instructors Shirley and Frikkie are both knowledgeable and passionate about their work. Shirley taught me a lot about creative and ethical filmmaking whereas Frikkie helped me understand my equipment much better and his humor filled the room with love and laughter. Aside from being great instructors they are also wonderful people that I consider now dear friends of mine. I loved going to Monkeyland, Birds of Eden, Jukani and Schotia. I saw animals I have never seen before and ranger Fontaine taught me a lot about the flora and fauna that u can find in South Africa. Personally I grew more in that one month with Africa Media compared to 3 years into my studies of Film, thanks to the personal assisting and guidance.
Definitely recommended! I will come back for the underwater filmmaking program in the future.. 🤍
