My High School Language & Cultural Immersion in China

GoAbroadChina’s High School Language & Cultural Immersion program was the perfect mix of learning and adventure. My host family welcomed me like one of their own, making sure I felt comfortable while helping me practice Mandarin in a natural way. The language classes weren’t just about memorizing words—they were fun, hands-on, and designed for teens like me. I got to make dumplings from scratch, explore the Great Wall, and dive into everyday Chinese life in a way that felt exciting and real. Every weekend, we traveled showing me different sides of China I never imagined. One of the best parts? Meeting students from all over the world and making friendships that stretched across continents. The experience pushed me out of my comfort zone in the best way possible, helping me grow more confident in myself and my ability to communicate. My Mandarin skills improved way faster than I expected, simply because I was using it all day, every day. GoAbroadChina truly created something special, and I wouldn’t trade this experience for anything.
