The time I had here was unbelievable. The program was amazing and I think I just have some points for anyone thinking of studying through FU-Best

I lived at the Student Village (Studenten Schlachtensee). I really enjoyed the set up. It created a very social atmosphere and many of my close friends were the people I lived with. I’d recommend a dorm style over a home stay, especially if you are looking to make friends in the program.

Classes are 3 hours or 2.5 hours long. This allows Fridays to be a free day (which is amazing for traveling) but that does make classes drag. Some classes I had were really interesting, some not so much. 3 hours of anything though it’s hard to stay focused. Just prepare for that.

Commuting will be long no matter what you choose. My commute was about an hour. Read a book on the train or something. At the student village there was always a group leaving in the mornings so Commutes eventually became a good way to talk with friends.

The excursion through the program I did was to Nuremberg and Prague. This was very well organized and extremely fun. Some of the museums we went to were kind of boring, but that’s not the schools fault.

FU-Best is better ran than your home university you pay 5x for. The staff is so friendly and they set up a great experience. It is fully something that you get out what you put in. If you put yourself out there and make friends your time in Berlin will be unforgettable.

Would you recommend this program?
