Invaluable Experience

The GE Virtuoso program was an invaluable experience. The GE team matched me with the perfect company in London to fit my interests and career goals. Through check-ins and workshops, the GE team really set all of us interns up with the tools and resources to help us succeed in the digital work environment. My projects were challenging but I felt supported and encouraged from day one by both my host company and the GE team.
If you are looking for an international experience or a regular internship, I 100% the Virtuoso program.

What is your advice to future travelers on this program?
Don't be afraid to ask questions. Take the initiative to reach out to your boss, supervisors, other interns and especially the GE team for questions or advice.

Great Virtual Internships

This program is one I would recommend to anyone. It was a very engaging experience and really set me up to succeed in my internship. I learned more about myself and the skills I have that made my internship very successful. The virtual internship allowed me to better enhance my technological skills and everyone at GE was very supportive. They provided me with information throughout my entire experience that allowed me to get the most out of my internship. This is an experience I will always remember.

Virtual Intern Review

GE Virtuoso provides an amazing platform for the participants of their program. I felt confident in myself and my ability to thrive in my virtual internship thanks to the insight and training they provided prior to my internship. Having never experienced a virtual internship, I was both nervous and excited to see what was to come. By working remotely, interns have the freedom to work from wherever they want to as long as they have internet connection. This allowed me to take trips during the week that I normally would have not been able to take working in-person.

What is your advice to future travelers on this program?
Keep an open mind and an open heart. New experiences help you grow as a person and getting out of your comfort zone is very important.

Loved interning with GE!

GE did an excellent job in placing me in my internship and supporting me along the way! They were quick to smoothly transition to an online platform in the wake of COVID-19. I ended up interning with an environmental NGO in Costa Rica, which couldn't hav been a better fit! I am majoring in Environmental Studies and Spanish and was able to learn a lot in both of these areas. Although the internship was not in person, I gained a lot from GE's program such as meeting on Zoom with GE's CEO and other international professionals. We also had some professional and personal development workshops where we learned about workplace cultures and talked with other interns about our experiences! I felt so supported throughout this process and never felt alone! Would definitely recommend!

Best Virtual Internship

This program was worth it! The team from Global Experiences works hard to ensure that you have the right internship placement. Their team was more than supportive, and they challenged us to come out of our comfort zone to gain and take advantage of the tools they provide. Throughout the weeks of my internship, GE had regular check-ins to ensure that students were thriving and encouraging each other during this time of the pandemic. One of my favorite activities was the cooking class. I learned a few international recipes from these activities that I will never forget!

Widened my talent pool with Global Experiences

A virtual internship with Global Experiences is genuinely a fantastic option that allows you to develop your remote working skills, digital tools, and build a family around the world. I feel so happy to have experienced my first virtual internship with such a supportive, friendly, and professional team! During my time at Global Experiences, they made it easy to secure a great International internship. This gave me the chance to expand my perspective and gain a different cultural experience. My time with GE Virtuoso was surely an experience that I will always cherish...

Great Experience

This program was really an awesome opportunity. The projects were creative and challenging without feeling tedious. The staff is really supportive and will help you along the way if needed. The staff will also help you with resumes and cover letters which can be useful in the future. I definitely learned a lot not only about my field of work but also about other cultures. The weekly weekly journals are a good way of reviewing what you have done and the logs allow you to see the progression of your work from the beginning of the summer until the end.

Amazing Virtual Internship

The pandemic is hard on everyone especially since we were not allowed to travel to our internships, however Global Experiences were able to simulate a physical internship as much as possible. They had so many great events from cooking shows to art lectures. It really helped to get a taste of culture. The company I worked for in Barcelona was amazing. They really were helpful and understanding to the time difference. They helped to mentor me while also making sure I stayed as creative as I could with the projects. And I am so glad I decided to do this program!

What would you improve about this program?
I think more events to get to know the other interns would be cool. Like movie nights or something like that.
