AIFS Abroad Virtual Internships

I was hesitant at first, but GE paired me with a great company that gave me some really interesting and independent tasks! We also learnt a lot about marketing ourselves as ideal candidates for positions in the future, which was invaluable. Meeting new people in these sessions who were going through the same situation and also making the best out of it was great, so we got to connect with others who were as driven as we are, even in a global pandemic. I’d definitely recommend the experience!!!!!

My virtual internship placement was amazing, I love the company that I worked for which was in Barcelona. Global experiences, helped me a lot along the way, and future students interning with global experiences should know that no matter where is your internship, virtual or in person GE will make it the best experience you will ever have in an internship! I thought that a virtual internship would not be that engaging, but the support received by my supervisor of the company and GE, helped me and made me feel really excited about it, plus I learned a lot.

Global Experiences is worth every penny, seriously!! There is so much value in this program. The advisors were all so kind, positive, and a joy to interact with every week! They made me feel motivated to keep going during this pandemic, and due to their support, I have successfully finished my internship having learned so many new skills that I can apply to my future careers and it has helped me narrow down my interests. I would 100% recommend this program to anyone looking to get guaranteed professional experience or anyone looking to find themselves in this world.

My internship experience was so perfectly tailored to me and allowed me to solidify what I would like to do post-grad. The staff at Global Experiences were supportive from the get-go! They listened to my concerns and interests, which allowed me to find such a wonderful internship that I am so grateful for. Throughout the course of the internship, the support continued, with weekly check-ins where I got to meet and chat with other interns, as well as virtual events, including meeting some alumni from past Global Experience internships abroad. Overall, both the internship itself as well as the weekly meetings equally contributed to how amazing and enriching this experience was. I would recommend it to anyone, whether you're looking for more job experience, trying to figure out what jobs best interest you or even just looking for a new and unique experience that will allow you to meet new people from around the world!

It was a delightful experience to intern virtually through the Global Experiences program. My internship was in the field of Marketing Analytics. This was new to me, as I had only done a few online courses in the relevant area. However, I felt I needed some practical exposure, and chose Global Experiences because of their reputation and the high number of interns they place in marketing positions across Europe.

I was virtually placed for a marketing firm outside of London, England. The GE staff made sure that the internship went as per plan, and they checked in regularly to see if I was doing okay. I was asked for feedback halfway through the internship, and before the end of the internship to ascertain quality service and that my needs were being met. Every effort was taken to make sure the internship was a smooth and delightful experience. Overall, I am extremely glad that I chose Global Experiences over other similar programs. The internship exceeded my expectations. Through the GE Virtuoso program, I have made life long connections, which I am forever grateful for.

The Gallup Clifton StrengthsFinder test that came with the internship made me see myself differently by understanding my strengths and weaknesses. I had a virtual session with trained Gallup Clifton StrengthsFinder experts to asses my strengths and weaknesses. I learnt how to play to my strengths while turning my weaknesses into strengths. The session costs hundreds of dollars, but with the GE Virtuoso program it was included.

After completing the internship, I started getting an edge in the competitive Covid-19 induced job market. Most employers are interested in my GE Virtuoso internship, and that’s the first thing they ask me in the interviews.

I have to say, the memories I made while interning for GE will last a lifetime. I thoroughly enjoyed my time, and would like to recommend this program to anyone who is seeking to advance their career.

There's always a worry for those seeking an internshp that they may not get it. You won't have to worry about that with Global Experiences! The GE staff was able to get me an internship, but unfortunately I did not get the position. The GE staff then really worked hard to find me other opportunities. Thanks to their amazing efforts, they found me three different employers interested in interviewing me for an internship! This was unheard of not only for me, but also for the staff at Global Experiences! I had the luxury of being able to pick from three companies which I never though was possible (I picked two by the way)! Thanks so much to everyone at Global Experiences. 10/10!

The GE Virtuoso program was amazing, and it really enhanced my overall internship. All of the meetings had a different benefit and theme, but all of them were extremely helpful and supportive. The GE Virtuoso organizers were super enthusiastic about helping interns get the most out of their programs and internships. It was really helpful and beneficial to collaborate and talk to other interns during the Check-In meetings to see what internships they were doing, which is something I really appreciated. I think that overall, the program really enhanced my internship, and allowed me to develop critical skills that really transferred to my internship. All of the GE Virtuoso organizers and leaders provide amazing support and tools during the meetings, and are really there to enhance your internship and allow you to be as success as you can!

Going into my internship, I was pretty nervous. I am majoring in Psychology, and there are few opportunities to get experience. However, Global Experiences was able to find me a great research opportunity with a professor in Ireland. The internship itself was amazing, and I learned so much! I have gained confidence in my strengths and understand my strengths I bring to the workplace. However, Global Experiences made the internship so much better. Through career development and different tools to enhance my internship and future careers, I feel much more prepared to take on the future! The support from GE made my experience a great one!
