About Program
Global Nomadic works with a local organization in Rarotonga, Cook Islands to bring you a meaningful internship working with stray dogs. Ever since dogs have been introduced to the Cook Islands, its been proven difficult to control the population which has largely gone out of control. The current solution to the problem has been for police to shoot stray dogs as they see fit. By joining the Global Nomadic veterinary internship in the Cook Islands, you will have the opportunity to be part of an alternative solution by helping spay and neuter stray dogs. In addition to solving the problem of stray dogs, the organization also provides free veterinary health care to residents of the Cook Islands.

Response from Global Nomadic
I am glad that you had a good experience with this amazing organisation that we support (at no cost to themselves). We spend a lot of time, effort and resources finding, vetting and visiting each project we work with. I am glad that our efforts helped you to find and work with this organisation, and that this organisation benefited from your participation, not to mention from us helping them to find good interns and support their work.
