About Program

Undergraduate internships and volunteer work are primarily administrative and clerical in nature. As the Center is small, more demanding projects can be assigned as they arise and match the individual's interests and abilities. Graduate internships involve more research, drafting documents and translating.

Internships are unpaid but academic credit and funding can sometimes be arranged through the respective university or academic program.

Applicants should be well-organized, self-motivated and reliable, with a strong interest in human rights. Relevant coursework or experience is highly desirable, and knowledge of Icelandic a plus. Computer literacy (i.e., Microsoft Office, Internet applications) is required.
