Why did you decide to study abroad at LdM in Florence, Italy?

I was a history minor and heard great things about Florence. Due to certain preservation laws the city looks much like it once did hundreds of years ago. You won't see large buildings and paved streets. Coming from NYC, Florence or Firenze sounded like a welcome treat.

What made your study abroad experience unique and special?

I went abroad with a few friends from college who are still my good friends today. Being able to live abroad really opens your mind to what else is out there. I would advise every student to study abroad. It helps you gain a much better perspective of what is out there. There is also something very special about learning about a place while actually living there.

How has this experience impacted your future?

Studying abroad helped me to become more independent and also helped shape my vision of the world. It was a wonderful experience.
