What is your favorite travel memory?

I would have to say that I do not have one travel memory as each place I have visited holds a special place to my heart... However, one of my top destinations I have travelled to would have to be Bali. There is something so special about this place if be it the warmth and kindness of the people, the beauty of the landscapes, the ocean or of course the food. When traveling throughout Bali I got to experience both inner and outer beauty and much relaxation yet excitement. It is one of the best memories of my life and I cant wait to go back once again in the future!

Which destination is most underrated? Conversely, which is most overrated?

The Philippines is definitely an underrated destination for me. With its beautiful islands and beaches, the Philippines offers picturesque landscape and is a perfect getaway for any kind of holidays. Unfortunately, the endless natural wonders of this destination are sometimes not often spoken about and the world travelers often neglect this destination.

On the other hand, I personally believe that some spots in Thailand can sometimes be overrated destinations. Even though I really enjoyed some parts of my holiday there if it being the people or its beautiful landscape, I however felt that the mass-tourism on the islands I visited affected my opinion of it being a true paradise on Earth.

What do you believe to be the biggest factor in being a successful company?

The biggest factors in being a successful company for me is determination/motivation and the team which is behind it. Members of a team have always been the driving force of any great company. In my experience, being able to work with motivated, skilled and hardworking individuals in a positive and fun work environment is a success of its own.

How have you changed/grown since working for your current company?

I believe to have grown and changed in only positive ways since working at Teaching Nomad and moving to China from Switzerland. Teaching Nomad has helped me develop my recruitment skills and people skills and it has also helped me trust my instincts and build my confidence up as a whole. Moving to China has helped me become more of an independent and more “grounded” person, has helped me get out of my comfort zone, and it has lastly made me become more understanding of various cultures and values. I am truly lucky to have had such opportunities and look forward to what 2016 will bring me in terms of growth at Teaching Nomad and in China!

What unique qualities does your company possess?

Teaching Nomad holds many unique qualities, but the top quality to me from an employee’s perspective would have to be the fact that there is a high trust between employer and employee which I believe allows employees to be creative, look beyond the small picture, have confidence and be able to help increase profitability as a whole! The top quality for our customers would have to be our transparency, honesty, and our customer service which goes beyond others as we give a personalised service to each and every candidate from the start until the end and even after…
