What position do you hold at China Internship Placements? What has been your career path so far?

I am a Placement Adviser at China Internship Placements LLC and my role is to guide interns providing them with the relevant information to help them customize their experiences. I have a Double Bachelors in Communication Studies and Management.

I worked in the PR department of my previous employers for 2 years in Chicago before joining CIP. Because I have been an Intern before, it becomes easy to put myself into an intern’s shoes and advice appropriately.

Did YOU intern abroad?! If so, where and what inspired you to go?

II am happy to state here that I am a CIP Alumni! I committed to a summer internship in 2011 with CIP in China with a company into Venture Capital and Brand Management. It was an awesome experience such that the memory still lives with me.

I was inspired by the CIP team and wished to work with them because of their corporate culture.I was inspired to intern by my career adviser who specifically asked me to go toChina. I did the search for a list of providers and decided on China Internship Placements LLC for very obvious reasons.

What do you believe to be the biggest factor in being a successful company?

The greatest success factor for CIP is the caliber of staff and the corporate culture. I see professionalism running through all that we do and that’s what get us growing. There is solid communication and motivation for innovation, ideas are always welcomed by senior Executives.

CIP has also been successful because of the numerous programs that we provide which extends our client base. We provide services to cover the entire family. Whether Summer Holiday, Travel, tour and volunteer in China for the family, High School Program for the young ones, Internship For the Young Graduates and Chinese Language for anyone at all.

We are also able to transfer knowledge acrossProgram departments.Lastly, CIP invests so much into its operations, Staff and Program delivery which keeps the company alive with latest software and platforms to harness the various stake holders together

How have you changed/grown since working for your current company?

Regarding growth,I will say I have developed in several dimensions as CIP invests into Training me 3 times every year.I have grown in several ways such as understanding growing trend of Human Resource demands acrossChina. I have also learnt Finance and deep managerial skills relevant for running international organizations.

Every year, we have training from large consulting houses such as Deloitte, Accenture, Karl Benz Leadership academy and to mention but few. We are allowed to implement what was taught and measures are taken to keep us productive.

What was your favorite traveling experience?

I am huge fan of traveling because I am refreshed and enlightened anytime I travel to a different city or country. My first overwhelming experience travelling was my trip to Inner Mongolia. Wow!! I had never seen a vast grassland of such beauty. It was a trip I would like to embark upon over and over again.

What unique qualities does your company possess?

CIP is here to stay and has been very different from other Internship providers on several counts. The Executive mentoring and corporate grooming has been a solid boost of the image of our programs.

It made it so appealing to our partner universities and made it easier for participants to experience the real transformation. We see Senior Executives agreeing to stand by our interns and teach them what it takes to be successful Business Men and Corporate Executives. CIP provides risk assessment at all levels of program delivery and is able to ascertain and remove all risky areas of its operations.

Overall, our value delivery is awesome. Our Participants continue to enjoy our services even years after completion. We have a particular department responsible to helping Alumni to relocate to China and launch their career as they deem fit. It is hard to get a program that still holds tight to its past participants and serving them all along even years after completion. To me CIP is a family and a place I would always like to work.
