What is your favorite travel memory?
My favorite memory is the trip to Europe I had in 2011. It still is fresh in the memory as the majority of the trip was unplanned and we had build things up along the way as we travelled.
It was exciting and covered 7 countries in Europe and was amazing to experience different cultures and landscapes almost every day.
How have you changed/grown since working for your current company?
Companies differ in their nature and how they see things, but this organization gives self-satisfaction like no other company and has a mission thats directly linked with humanity. It's just amazing and doesn't need an external motivation to keep going everyday.
What is the best story you've heard from a return student?
We've had this intern from UK who was not very particular about culture and others views and always believed in what he thought, so to speak. He was in for one of Medical Experience project. A week into the project our team made a suggestion to him to be part of a yoga project that is set up in a serene beach location.
After he went back to the UK, we started receiving a flurry of phone calls from his parents and siblings thanking us saying their boy has changed and is showing a lot of emotional maturity and values like love, tolerance, responsibility and a mind to accept how things are. Eventually he came back for a second time here to help out an NGO.
What unique qualities does your company possess?
Our tagline itself is enabling people to experience how it is to live and work in India. We give a complete Indian experience and will make you feel like natives. Compared to any other companies we've kept our prices to a bare minimum as we want everyone to be part of this and understand what difference they can actually make while coming here.
We already have quite a lot of projects running all year round, but the best part is we can customize projects for you even though its not listed and everything from duration to project content is customizable - we have listed down our unique services on the website.
What do you believe to be the biggest factor in being a successful company?
There are several factors that adds up to the success of the company, but all companies are human-driven and the ultimate success would depend on how people perform and how well we take care of the people and provide them with resources that brings out the best in them. Our company is no different and we strive in making sure the interns/volunteers get the best experience possible and our staff also enjoys themselves in the process.
