What is your favorite travel memory?

I’ve visited many countries in Europe and Asia and they all come with their own charm. I really enjoy visiting China, as it's such a big country with many places to explore. You can go skiing in Heilongjiang province, or go diving in Hainan.

I’ll never forget the walk along the Great Wall of China, or trying the dishes and delicacies at one of the many Chinese street food vendors. If you want to get away from the crowd, you should visit (not during Chinese New Year) Jiu Zhai Gou, stunning views!

How have you changed/grown since working for your current company?

I’ve always worked in Europe, in countries with pretty similar culture and values. Thus, for me it was a big thing to move to China and start my new job at a new company in a city I have not visited before.

Result: Best decision ever.

I’ve experienced a lot and grew professionally at my current job. But, the greatest thing is to have the opportunity to share this passion with future students.

What is the best story you've heard from a return student?

It’s been wonderful seeing how students are impressed by China. Many of them have a totally different picture of China. I constantly meet students who discover things they haven’t seen before or even didn’t know about it. They are amazed on how advanced the big cities are in China, the buildings, infrastructure, public transportation, etc.

China is living day and night and there is always something to do for everyone. At the end of the program we always get the same response from our students: ‘’I will come back to China!’’

If you could go on any program that your company offers, which one would you choose and why?

If I could go back in time I would definitely go on an internship in China through China Global Connections. Not only would you gain a hands on experience in your area but also you would have an unforgettable time in China.

One of the advantages of our internship program in China is that it really opens up your eyes. From the moment you arrive, it forces you to get out of your comfort zone and learn and experience new things every day!

What makes your company unique? When were you especially proud of your team?

What makes China Global Connections unique is the support. CGC offers comprehensive support prior to the student’s departure, and throughout the duration of their stay in China. Basically, students can contact us 24/7.

I'm especially proud of our team when we give students the opportunity to do an internship in China, to make it possible for students who never thought they would have come to China otherwise.

What do you believe to be the biggest factor in being a successful company?

I believe the biggest factor in being a successful company is going beyond the student’s expectations.

We provide students with an international internship in their field of choice in most of the bigger cities in China. Apart from the internship placements, we provide them Mandarin lessons at one of our partner schools, plus activities and field trips during the weekends.

Here at China Global Connections we hear it every day, students appreciate the service and support that we provide.
