What is your favorite travel memory?

Bangkok has always been my favorite travel destination. From the very first time when I rode the speedy motor cycle taxi, it has remained with me as a fun and memorable experience.

How have you changed/grown since working for your current company?

When I first started working for my current company I was involved in basic assisting roles helping volunteers in their day-to-day activities. The training, motivation from my seniors, and team building efforts inside the organization have transformed me fully, and today I am working as a Chief Program Coordinator.

What is the best story you've heard from a return student?

Every participant has their own unique stories which have been helpful in their career transformation. If I have to pick from one of them, he is a graduate in landscape architecture, who turned himself as an international humanitarian development expert. He took part in our two week community building program and explored his future career.

If you could go on any program that your company offers, which one would you choose and why?

I keep participating in most of the program however, I would always love to join our Teach and Trek four week program, as this program takes participants to the Everest region.

What makes your company unique? When were you especially proud of your team?

My company focuses in the community integration programs and is concerned about the sustainability of the projects. Both hosts and participants find our community programs meaningful and rewarding.

After the 2015 earthquake one of our school buildings was completely demolished and the team coordinated very well with the community, school management, and volunteers to raise the building in just fifteen days.

What do you believe to be the biggest factor in being a successful company?

Any company that helps the local community to grow through knowledge, employment generation, and active participation in any projects can the biggest factor in being a successful company. Also, the in-house management which supports the individual growth and personality development as a part of team building is very vital.

As my company focuses on these matters, today I can proudly say that we are a leading company in Gap Year programs in Nepal.
