The Roberto Clemente Health Clinic

What is your favorite travel memory?

My favorite travel memory was attending the annual health fair at the clinic. Every year, the clinic organizes this event and hundreds of people attend. During the event, doctors, nurses, and many specialists offer their services to the community absolutely free.

This year the event happened on January 16th and it was the biggest one thus far. About 600 people showed up from many different communities to be part this wonderful event. Children had a blast. It was a big festival – we had a clown, a moon-bounce, piñatas, and a trampoline!

How have you changed/grown since working for your current company?

My professional and spiritual growth have been immense since I started working for the Roberto Clemente Health Clinic. I had the opportunity to travel to Nicaragua this year and interact with the clinic team and members of the community.

I saw how much the doctors and nurses genuinely care about their patients' well being.

I've seen them going above and beyond to help them improve their lives. It was an inspiring experience for me and it's given me the power to focus on the things that really matter in life!

If you could go on any program that your company offers, which one would you choose and why?

I think all of our programs give people a rewarding feeling. Just knowing that you're improving someone's daily life will make your heart jump with joy! I particularly love our volunteers program because of the huge impact it makes. Also, it's a win-win situation, everyone benefits from it, including you!

The Roberto Clemente Clinic hosts hundreds of volunteers from all over the world. 2016 will be an amazing year for volunteers to contribute to many new clinic projects for the community. Depending on their experience level, our volunteers can perform a range of activities, from taking vital signs and helping with patient intake to providing emergency care and performing minor surgeries.

They are also able to work in our organic garden or with our clean water treatment and distribution program.

What do you believe to be the biggest factor in being a successful company?

The biggest factor in being a successful organization is the sense of community that everyone keeps at all times.

Our entire team loves their community and is constantly looking for new programs and projects that will improve their quality of life. The potential benefits of The Roberto Clemente Health Clinic are limitless. Thanks to the generous donations of our supporters, we have been able to provide excellent support to these deserving Nicaraguans.
