It has been an absolute revelation in seeing graduates take on a different persona after spending four weeks immersed in the intensive and exciting environment of the Text & Talk TEFL Course.

The enthusiasm at the end is just amazing!

What is your favorite travel memory?

My first visit to Europe, experiencing so many exciting and memorable moments. The different cultures, traditions, food, and Sunset at 10.30pm. Unforgettable, the pleasure of traveling by rail in Italy & Switzerland, then Germany, Holland, Spain, Portugal, France, and Belgium. Got to go back very, very soon!

How have you changed since working for your current company?

I have come to appreciate the experience of working with so many people from all over the world who all have one thing in common, and that is to teach children, and then seeing the wide-eyed smile when they grasp and understand. I could do this for the rest of my life and never get tired of it for sure.

What is the best story you've heard from a return student?

There are so many heartwarming stories, from so many past graduates from all over the world, that I find it a daunting task, in choosing a favorite. We have had a graduate from Zimbabwe who received a well-paying offer within 5 days after graduation and now learning Thai. The kids just love her!

If you could go on any program that your company offers, which one would you choose and why?

To learn Thai for sure. Teaching in Thailand becomes so much more enjoyable and easier when learners can communicate with you in their mother tongue from time to time. One also develops a deeper understanding of the culture, traditions, and when you understand and accept their way of life then you earn the respect and admiration of your students.

What makes your company unique? When were you especially proud of your team?

Equipping 3200 teachers (at the last count) to become effective English teachers, is no mean feat, and I have come to appreciate and admire the founder James Parmelee for his total dedication and professionalism. To see his wife, son, daughter and staff carry on maintaining the high standards with same enthusiasm and dedication, is a real joy to witness.

What do you believe to be the biggest factor in being a successful company?

Teaching International students to be enthusiastic, motivated and dedicated teachers to Thai Students, requires more than just an English accent, and the ability to teach vocabulary & grammar. It also requires the teacher to understand the way the Thai student learns, and to appreciate the link between culture & tradition in the process.
