Tracy was born and raised on the West Coast of Canada, on Vancouver Island. Catching her first travel bug at the age of 5, she gained unforgettable life experiences volunteering and living abroad. Now, she is a Marketing Coordinator for Stepabroad, providing young professionals and travelers an opportunity to work abroad!

What is your favorite travel memory?

Teaching English to University students in Vietnam is definitely my favorite travel memory. Each student showed so much gratitude towards the teachers. It was a very rewarding experience knowing that I made an impact on my students. During this trip, I learned so much about the culture, the background, the people, and of course, myself.

How have you changed/grown since working for your current company?

Stepabroad has given me an outlet to creatively and professionally execute my vision. I am fortunate to be in a position where I can grow personally, and where the work that I do aligns with my passions. I learned to appreciate the value of time and travel with every participant that we send overseas.

What is the best story you've heard from a return student?

It's always a pleasure to hear participants telling us about how much our program has changed them personally and professionally. They particularly talk about gaining professional experiences from their workplace and bringing that unique experience back home and using it to their advantage for new positions in their field!

If you could go on any program that your company offers, which one would you choose and why?

Australia would be my first pick, because of the endless activities and jobs that you can do there. It's always such a good time in the land down under and it's definitely a place to meet people from all over the world.

My second choice would be Chile. I would love to be surrounded by rich culture, and Chile is definitely the place to be for that. Having your accommodation and food paid for takes away living expenses, and I can just focus on having fun!

What makes your company unique? When were you especially proud of your team?

Our company focuses on providing a unique and personal experience for our clients.

We want to take all the stress off the table for our clients and make them feel like we are there for them.

We are unique because we tailor every program to the participants themselves, and build a relationship at the same time.

What do you believe to be the biggest factor in being a successful company?

I believe the biggest factor in being a successful company is making sure that each team member understands and believes in the core values of the company. The company is driven by the people, so it's always important to prioritize the team itself when it comes to providing excellent customer service.
