Staff Spotlight: Antoine Richard

Title:
Sales Representative

Born and raised in Quebec City, Canada, Antoine has always had an interest in other languages and cultures. After completing his Bachelor's in Communication, he sought a job that would allow him to express himself in other languages and travel, which he found at Edu-inter.

What is your favorite travel memory?

My first trip outside of Canada or USA to Mexico in Guadalajara when I was in High School where I got to live in a family that I still have a great contact with. This trip changed my life and marked the beginning of my love story with Mexico where I have since been several times. It also taught me a lot about travelling and living with other cultures.

How have you changed/grown since working for your current company?

I feel like I have more confidence in myself, and I am also much more autonomous than before. Oftentimes, I have to do a lot of things and find answers by myself. I also believe I am more productive than ever as I have to answer a lot of emails and do many phone calls. I do not see my days at work pass.

What is the best story you've heard from a return student?

I really enjoyed visiting Saint Patrick's High School and listen to one Mexican student who was finishing her 11th grade. She said she would love to stay for one more year in Quebec but can't since there is no Grade 12 offered here.

She really looked like she belonged here, and had an amazing time. It feels like this academic year changed her life in a real positive way.

If you could go on any program that your company offers, which one would you choose and why?

I think the Multi-Activity Program that we offer in summer is really nice. As a kid, I would have loved to travel to another city – learn a language in the morning, and go out every afternoon to visit the city, or do some original activities.

Getting to know people from everywhere around the world and create a unique group atmosphere must feel really sick!

What makes your company unique? When were you especially proud of your team?

I think our school has a very great staff of teachers and offers a very good customer service. We are always present at every step of the process when a student wants to come and study. Practically everyone leaves the school happy and knowing more French than they thought they would ever know.

What do you believe to be the biggest factor in being a successful company?

I definitely believe you have to offer something unique that differentiates you from the competition. I think you also have to be offering a high quality product along with a high quality customer service.

People should feel that their experience was worth every penny that they spent at the company. I really believe that customers feel that way when they leave Edu-inter.
