Title:
Intern in CRM and Marketing

Photos

Teo is a trilingual fun and enthusiastic Marketing student from France. He is half-English and half-Colombian but has lived all his life in France. He likes participating in creative projects, but most of all he loves speaking with motivated international students so he can make sure he finds the internship that corresponds exactly to what the student is looking for. As an international intern in Thailand, he enjoys sharing his experience in Bangkok with the students he speaks to!

What is your favorite travel memory?

With no doubt, Koh Chang. The reason I am in Bangkok today is because I came to Thailand 5 years ago with my family and I fell in love with the country and culture. Today I am living a dream full of opportunities and this is the reason why I will be studying International Marketing in Thailand next year, at Assumption University. I've also traveled to many other places and my top 5 is: Thailand, Malta, Turkey, New York, Colombia

How have you changed/grown since working for your current company?

This experience at My Internship Asia has brought me a lot. I always tell the students that doing an internship in a start-up company is a great opportunity to have responsibilities and work on different missions. This internship at MIA has made me grow professionally as it helps me develop skills that I will use for my future projects, but also on a personal side, as working in a different environment makes you become more mature, responsible and autonomous.

What is the best story you've heard from a return student?

The best story I have heard is a story from a student that did his internship in a health-tech start-up as a marketing, communication and business development intern. He told me that his CEO had sent him to a very important investor meeting to present the company and convince them to invest. The student was not expecting to do this. The CEO sent him to this meeting to show him that "even if you are 'just an intern', you can do big things". This made him be more confident at work and also in his personal life he told me.

If you could go on any program that your company offers, which one would you choose and why?

For those who have seen Inception, I often say that my internship in Bangkok is a bit the same: I'm doing my internship in an internship placement agency.
So, in a way, I am using My Internship Asia's services:
- I am doing a great internship that corresponds to what I was looking for
- MIA helped me with all my Visa process
- I have full assistance with my internship (24/7 haha), with my accommodation, and with anything I need
- I have access to Networking Events to help me make more contacts

What makes your company unique? When were you especially proud of your team?

I believe that what is unique and different from the other companies is that we work 100% for the student, and so we give full assistance to the student before, during and after his internship. Other internship placement companies focus on the quantity of students for the companies and we focus on quality companies for the students.

What do you believe to be the biggest factor in being a successful company?

I don't think there is a "biggest factor" in being a successful company. My future projects are to create companies, so this is a question I really like.

I believe in the human side of the company. It is the team that does the marketing, communication, deals with the product, etc... I think that the common skills in a company create its success: open-mindedness (understand what works and what doesn't), creativity, organization, problem-solving, adaptability, multicultural and multilingual, empathy and listening, etc..
