What is your favorite travel memory?

I have so many fabulous favorites, it’s hard to choose, so I am going to mention my best hike.

It was along the wild coast. The journey there is on the road with the most turns, passing the colorful huts and rolling green mountains. The hike is incredible: crossing the rivers, you pay a small fee to the local “ferryman”; it’s a lot of fun and I was able to walk barefoot on the beach, and on most of the journey on the soft grasslands passing the rural farmers.

Camping along the coast each night, and swimming along the way when it became a bit warm. Everyone is in such high spirits when we pass the local Spaza shops, and they often able to supply us with an ice-cold beverage. It’s the best and the memories remain a treasure chest in my heart.

How have you changed/grown since working for your current company?

I realize that it’s important to live in the moment, and that compassion for others is what connects us and allows trust to develop.

Being judgmental makes us sour, negative and burdens us as opposed to being humane and connected. I have had to develop better listening skills and ask more questions; this has helped in so many aspects of my life.

It’s easier to be light, loving and less opinionated; a great motto that they use here is “when in doubt, love more”. Honestly, I am working this because forming new, kinder habits is a task on its own 🥰🌺🌺🎂

What is the best story you've heard from a return student?

Many wonderful success stories, but a stand out is the youngster who applied for a job at a huge financial firm.

He was told they have no place for him. Eventually, he told them he would work for free to gain experience. Can you imagine offering to work for free?! Talk about thinking out of the box and being totally committed. Came the month's end, they loved him, paid him, and he is still with them building his career. I just loved that.

If you could go on any program that your company offers, which one would you choose and why?

Toltec is the program/workshop that stands out for me because it is a well rounded week of adventure when It comes to taking control of your life in every aspect. It’s hard, challenging you physically, emotionally and through-provoking when it comes to making choices and decisions that are important in your life. It’s life-changing in every way and supports you to be the best version of yourself.

What makes your company unique? When were you especially proud of your team?

Weird, but I am always proud of my company and its team.

As people, we are often challenged with “life” being ill, tired, family events, emotions that often affect us in various ways... The list goes on. The team is so powerful and supportive of everyone that you always miss a person when they off because everyone is such fun and an integral part of the team, but the best is knowing that there is always someone to pick up where you left off with kindness and compassion.

What do you believe to be the biggest factor in being a successful company?

Definitely LOVE, and I mean it in every aspect of the word.

We all respond to love and respect and it is a part of the fundamental teaching at Warriors Academy for everyone. Motto: "When in doubt, LOVE MORE", especially self-love. It’s great in every situation to use this motto. Having well trained and great staff who understand this concept keeps the programme on track 100% of the time.
